Q: What is the Male Brazilian?

A: A standard male Brazilian includes the frontal pubic region, the shaft, scrotum, and anal area.

Q: Does the Male Brazilian hurt?

A: I  would be lying if I said no, but yes it does hurt... at least for your first time and it gets better from there. The pain is short and subsides quickly. (similar to having a Band-Aid pulled off) I always recommend at least doing it twice before you really make a decision that you don't like it, as the hair is finer and the pain is cut in half by at least 25 - 50%. Remember, if it was really that bad...people wouldn't keep getting it done.

Q: Is there anything you can do to decrease the pain?

A: A couple of Ibuprofen 30 minutes before your appointment can help ease the pain.

Q: What type of wax is used?

A: A high quality French hard wax is used. This wax only grabs the hair and does not stick to the skin like that of soft wax does. This type of wax decreases pain and possible skin lifting.

Q: Is this a sexual service?

A: The short answer is "NO" it is "NOT A SEXUAL SERVICE".  The long answer is that in my wax shop the MALE BRAZILIAN WAXING is NOT a SEXUAL one, it is a clinical one. I am a professional Aesthetician performing a procedure, and trying to give the best wax service to you. Please do not disrespect me by making inappropriate remarks or flirting.  If a client were to make suggestive remarks, the waxing service would end,  and full payment would be due whether the service was finished or not.

Q: How do I need to prepare for my first appointment?

A: Whatever you do.... DON'T trim or shave. If you have been shaving regularly; there needs to be at least 1/4"  of hair for the wax to grab. (approx. 3 -4 weeks of growth) Do not drink alcohol heavily or sunbathe 24 hours prior to receiving a skin wax. Please arrive with clean skin,  and with no lotions or oils put on the skin. 

Q: How often do I need to get the Male Brazilian to maintain the look and feel?

A: On average, a person needs to maintain their waxing every 4-6 weeks. You may notice that your first wax grows back the quickest with re-growth starting within 10 days. Even by the 2nd wax you will notice the hair growing finer and slower. With continued waxes the re-growth slows, and will take approx. 3-5 weeks to come back. So basically you will be hair free for most of this time.

Q: Can I bring my spouse with me?

A: Of course you can! This can be a very nervous time and I want you to feel as comfortable as possible.

Q: Are there any side effects?

A: Most common side effects is redness, itchiness, and bumps. This usually goes away within 1-24hrs. Less common is lifting. This is where a thin layer of skin is removed off the part being waxed. Using hard wax greatly decreases this side effect.

Q: What Happens if I get an erection?

A: This happens to approx. 20% of male clientele and is usually an adrenal response to the waxing that most people have no control over. There is no need to feel embarrassed. And as long as we both mutually respect each other, there should not be a problem.
